Introduction
The 21 operations carried out by the men of the 23rd Special Headquarters Troops in World War II were tactical deceptions. Each one was mounted in order to deal with a specific battlefield situation, and had its own carefully scripted scenario designed to play on the fears and the expectations of the enemy.
