Two brilliant deceptions helped win the war in Europe: Operation Fortitude, a British plan to mislead the Germans about D-Day – and – the Ghost Army, an American unit that duped the Germans right on the battlefield starting a week AFTER D-Day. Many assume they are one in the same. In fact, they are completely different. Yet, there are fascinating connections.
