Trevieres War Memorial

This is a World War I memorial that was damaged by artillery fire on D-Day. The town left it unrepaired as a way of remembering what happened in World War II.  This is the image on the Trevieres medal. There is also an exact replica of this stature at the National D-Day memorial in Beford, VA.
