Dummies on the Rhine
Dummy tanks being set up as part of Operation Viersen, the last and most succesful Ghost Army mission, in March of 1945. During this mission, the Ghost Army impersonated two entire divisions, the 30th and 79th, pretending that the units were preparing to cross the Rhine in a spot about a dozen miles northwest of Dusseldorf. In fact, the two divisions crossed the river about 15 miles away.
