Three Weeks to PBS Broadcast

The countdown is on to the PBS premiere of The Ghost Army on Tuesday, May 21, just three weeks away. Lots of news to share:

Funding Update

Filmmaker Rick Beyer is honored and grateful to have received a grant from the John Anson Kittredge Educational Fund to help pay for the vigorous outreach and PR campaigns being conducted for the film. Thanks to everyone who helped make that happen.

PBS Stations Carrying the Broadcast

The film will air on PBS stations covering at least 96% of the US.  But when PBS says “Check your local Listings” they mean it!  While most markets are carrying the film on Tuesday May 21 at 8 PM ET/7PM CT, there are a significant number carrying it a other times or even other days. The most up to date information we have is posted here, by state.

Upcoming Screening Events

Exciting screening events coming up in DC, NOLA, and Nyack NY. Filmmaker Rick Beyer will be taking questions after each of the screenings, and will be joined by Ghost Army veterans and others at many of them. Here's the info:

Friday, May 10, 11:30 AM in Arlington, VA as part of the GI Film Festival.

Monday, May 13, 6:30 PM at the National Press Club.

Wednesday, May 15, 6:30 PM, the National WWII Museum in New Orleans,in conjunction with WYES TV.

Sunday, May 26, 5 PM, at the Nyack Center in Nyack, NY.This is being staged in conjunction with the Army art exhibit at the Hopper House in Nyack.
